I don`t know...in this song Lee is showing sensitivity too. And IMHO on the forever changes album, on atleast a couple of songs, it sounds like Lee is trying to sing more like Bryan.

No way, MacLean's songs are good but the way he sings them is too folkish and oversensitive in a neurotic way and therefore not hip enough for a band like Love. Compare the MacLean demo of "Alone Again Or" to the Lee version and you'll see the immense difference in coolness.

But there's no generation gap today. Today's parents had their own pop music when they were kids too, so they'll sort of get it anyway. The parents of the 60s, as depression era kids, had no idea. Also, what is left to do now? Popular music isnt new anymore so most things have been done already. I reckon popular music is gone and, in our world where the main culture is shopping, we will go full circle back to the adult oriented ditties of the pre-60s. We probably already have,

Im with you Jimmy (64) No kids have come up with a new "scene" since HIP HOP in the early 80's. A real SCENE must have: A NEW LOOK -not recycled fashion, a NEW speech , A NEW SOUND , and blow the minds of the Established Order. Technology has stunned kids with images coming at them instead of them having to come up with something they have never seen.A new generation of LUDDITES- kids who reject technology & tap into a new imagination . (There's been NOTHING NEW since the 21st Century began!

Arthur Lee is fantastic but Bryan, man.... his solo work like ifyoubelievein and Candy`s Waltz is phenomenal. Bryan was so ahead of his time...if not, maybe 100 years behind his time. Listen to his songs and you`ll know what I mean :D

I disagree and would have to say that some of the best music came out in the 60s. But, not all as I didn't grow up then and dig some music today as well as the early 90s and mid to late 80s, and early 70s. I don't dig alot of music today, but that is OK because the band that are good today are not commercial. Commercialism is killing art, including music today. Love never sold out.

Easier, faster, cheaper. Plus a lot of bands back then could barley play.

What does that mean?
