oh I don't doubt that he's right. I was just kinda saying who cares? The musicians, potentially? Why does any artist bother to make something new, particularly if undemanding listeners will happily consume regurgitated ideas? If you don't agree with the need for originality in art, than that's just what you'll end up with (and I'll take my Clean records, thank you).
