First of all - No, I don't believe George W. Bush had anything to do with 9/11, except his bumbling incompetence. I am not a crazy "truther", however, I do believe you have to be crazy to not have serious questions about what happened on that day.
The message here is while we live "high on the hog" living the "American Dream", it's at the expense of others in the world - and there are those who see dire situations as opportunities for money to be made. It's not just the US, it's any G8 country. Anyone who tries to level the playing field, is eliminated. Meanwhile, we've been oppressing other countries for so long, events around the world happened, like 9/11. These events were clearly blowback for our mistreatment of other countries and cultures around the world.
And yes, we should be ashamed. We should fix it.
Write your elected official, where ever you are,
tell him/her how you feel about this.

This is exactly 180 degrees the opposite of this songs meaning. As a Love and Rockets fan since the Bauhaus / Tones genesis and seeing them on the Bubblemen / ESM / So Alive tour... this army mish-mosh of Angels and Devils / AAD misses the mark for me. I'm sure you were aiming for something.... and you missed. Kudos for the tune, even if you tried to turn it into military bullshit.11 years ago

I appreciate the message your trying to send out, but i have served in the brit army for 13 years and been to every conflict since i started serving and i do not regret anything i have done or had to do it all has a reason, most of it is not for the benefit of our country but the benefit of countrys that can not help themselves. With great power comes great responsabilty and when you carry out acts like 9/11 then you have to accept responsability for your actions and deal with the fall out.11 years ago
