There is actually an interview with BB King here on Youtube, where he specifically mentions Louis Jordan and other horn, trumpet, etc. players as his source of inspiration. Imitating such players lets him have a "vocal" quality to his blues phrasing. It is almost as if his guitar is singing. I tried some basic blues licks yesterday night based on this video, and didn't sound half bad, lol. Anyway, thanks for the upload.
