It is a magical song but as regards the lyrics - I've excused you for over 30 years and I'm ready for some more !

I love Loudon, and also his x wife Kate Mcgarrigle. There's no one to touch them

think thats true of a lot of Dylan songs other artists have done better versions & thats not taking anything away from Dylan kudos to him for so many covering his songs. i have a video of Richie live at Glastonbury 1986 it was filmed by the presenter of "Cue the Music" Mickey Most i think? there are a few videos from that performance on here somewhere, idk y the whole set isnt on its really outstanding.

Big fan of Richie too. His version of just like a woman is one that Dylan said is better than his. Keep up the song writing Mr. Burton.

most are on my youtube site the main one being the 1st i wrote recorded by a local band Wavestate now split.lyric writing is easy for me, i'm limited to what i can do musical but have loads of ideas. & yes Dylan (60+) influenced many Richie Haven (60+) does some good covers of his.

true, i recently been watching Leonard Cohen (70+) Eric Burden (60+) Bloodstone (60+) Stevie Wonder (60+) Jimmy Cliff (60+) to name but a few, there's not a lot rap i like it's to repetitive for me, probably why i started writing songs in 2006, to date written over 130 of which 18 are songs 12 done entirely by me alone live & unplugged here in my room.

I think as we age, that definitely becomes the case. You learn more about music and refine your ear. I'm 28 now and wouldn't have gone near anything like this back when I was younger. I used to be a rap kid. Got into indie rock after being forced to listen to it at work by my supervisor, and came to the conclusion that you have to explore. I play guitar, folk style now, and Dylan's my favorite. Thanks for listening. I love it too.

Loudon was one of many early influences way back in the 70's a lot of my friends never had the intelligence to realize just how good he was and he still sounds & writes as good as ever!
