Japanese heavy metal band Loudness with PV of "This Lonely Heart" song from sixth, one of most popular group's albums called "Hurricane Eyes" (1987). Song came from hard'n'heavy times in Loudness' history, ealier their played: heavy/speed metal (my favorite period), later: some weird, experimental metal/rock music... now groups style is some modern mix of neo-thrash, alternative and heavy metal.

LINEUP:

Minoru Niihara - vocal

Akira Takasaki - guitar

Masayoshi Yamashita - bass

Munetaka Higuchi - drums

Videoclip from VIDEO LOUDEST DVD/VHS (a video compilation - 6 PVs + 4 live).

I think I remember reading back in the day that George Lynch called this a "face-shredding" solo.

@Fretslayer Right after Mike quit or was fired, Akira got Masaki Yamada from EZO. He was the singer from '94 to '01. There were a few lineup changes from '94 to '01 then Masaki suggested that Akira get the originals all back together. :)

@Fretslayer Blame Max Norman. He got Minoru fired.

@Fretslayer The one I blame most is Max Norman (producer). He didn't like Minoru, so he told ATCO to tell the band they'd be dropped if they didn't fire him. I am SO glad Minoru is back.

@Fretslayer There are a few young American metal bands that are at least good. Avenged Sevenfold and Disturbed come to mind. Otep is great, but I can't make up my mind if she's metal or not.

@LTBiermacht Disillusion is better, and King Of Pain is really good too :)

@Fretslayer They should still be an arena band in the States-- their new material is ten trillion tons heavier and better written than a lot of American "metal" now.
