How Many Teardrops -

"Lou Christie" -

Peak Position;#46 in 1963

How many teardrops must I cry, 'till you believe in me?

And how many teardrops must I dry, to end this misery?

I wanna' know, how many teardrops must I cry yi yi yi yi ?

Must I cry-y-y, have to fall

To say you're mine...(you're mine) only mine...(you're mine)

Mi yi yi yi yi yine

I wish I knew the reason, why you've gone and made me blue

You didn't even tell me, that you and I were through

I wanna' know: how many teardrops must I cry-y-y-y-y

Must I cry-y-y-y, have to fa-a-a-a-all

To say you're mine...(you're mine) only mine ?

It's all a part of a little game, that you cooked up for me

Tryin' to find out just how much, you really mean to me-ee ye

If that's the reason for leavin', there's no reason to explain

'Cause baby, I really need you like the roses need the rain

I wanna' know: how many teardrops, must I cry yi yi yi yi

Must I cry-y-y-y, have to fall

To say you're mine...(how many teardops)

Oh must I cry...(how many teardrops)

Oh must I cry...(how many teardrops)

Oh must I cry yi yi yi yi...(how many teardrops)

(fading out)...

WTF. Now I can't listen to oldies on youtube anymore without an Adobe Flash Player. I can't get that at the library. YouTube is screwed up.

I don't have a home computer, I go to the library to check my emails and listen to oldies on youtube or I go to "Live365.com" for oldies because I can't download itunes at the library. I too have a vinyl oldie collection, from going to oldie stores in the 70's, and I would like to transfer them to CD. If you tried kshn.com last Sunday for "Solild Gold Sunday" the regular DJ was off.

KRTH is also on internet radio too but with 2 stations, one is the current that plays the format i just metnioned earlier and the other is the HD version which does play all oldies but only in the internet which you can hear on their website or if you got itunes with internet radio you can go their easy, but now days to listen to oldies i play my old record collection or those on CD but for the vnyl i have I'm gouing to record those to CD to preserve the vinyl from wearing.

You're very welcome theheff66,, the station i listen to or use to KRTH qwas once an oldie station I listened back in the 70's to the 80's until 1991 went off the wall would play too much mowtown music almost every 10 or 14 minutes that burned me out and it's not actual Clalssic Rock or other wise they would be playing The Beatles, Stones, Jimmy Hendrix, Cream, Creadence Clearwater Revival to Aerosmith, Van Halen, U2, Peter Gabriel and more.

Thanks for the note "1979". If your station is playing mid 60's-the 90's, then it's a classic rock station. An oldie station (to me) doesn't play 80's & 90's. Because of the drought in oldies radio, I mainly listen to AM talk radio now. The one I mentioned from Liberty, Tx, would be on 4pm-7pm Pacific time for you. Click "Listen Live" on the left. They play some 70's and occasionally an 80's, but the bulk is 50's & 60's, with Odd & Obscure songs mixed with the bigger hits. I love it.

Hi, sorry to respond 2 years after, thats a bummer that the station you manetioned has the same runaround like the the los Angeles station here KRTH 101.1 fm that just burns out completly,, right now they don't no more 50's and early 60sw rock 'n' roll anymore exceot mdi 60s, 70's, 80 and 90's. I'll check for that internet station kshn.com and that would be a good one, their was once a station tyhat played rare oldies but it's long gone now.

@1979cl1 You're right about oldie stations. I live in Houston, Tx, and right now there are no oldie stations in a big city like this. The one FM station that was here played the same songs every day. There is an oldie show on Sun nights from Liberty, Tx. They play a lot of odd and obscure oldies, it's on the internet: kshn.com. Click the logo at the top to listen, 6pm-9pm Central time.

Actually the Angels were not Lou's backup singers on "LIghtning Strikes" or "Rhapsody In The Rain"...or any MGM release..it was Bernadette Carroll, Denise Ferri and Peggy Santiglia..

@11xzxzxz You're very welcome,,I agree with you regarding on radio stations and when it comes to oldies stations it aint the same the way they use to be,, they oust alot more good stuff and we hear the same stuff over and over and one oldies station here in Los Angeles is just one dead boring station. Now we have to have internet or satelite radio to hear all. Antoher Luo's hits thats neglected is "She Sold Me Magic" probably was released in late 1969 or in 1970.

@11xzxzxz This song is actualy his third hit follow up to Two Faces Have I. I just don't understand why many oldies radio stations don't bother playing it.

Every part of his voice from his perfect falsetto to his smoothness and beautiful tone and great vocal control. His voice obeys him and h makes any song he does a work of true art!!!!!

I agree the tammies were perfect backing vocals to Lou Christie

I thought that for most of Lou's 62-63 recordings he was backed by Amy Sacco, Kay Chick, and Shirley Herbert. Amy was his big sister! Although there were 3 of them, they weren't the Tammys, who were instead "Linda, Gretchen and Cathy".

That's right, this is the Tammys on this recording and his early hits. They also had their own solo recordings and some of them are really great. On Lou's later hits like "Lightnin' Strikes", "Rhapsody in the Rain", and others, the Angels were his backing singers.
