...isn't angst an emotion? Or generally close to one?

I consider myself a pretty dedicated LC! fan... and you me dancing is still easily one of my favourites. :/ That's kind of a silly assumption, seeing as how everyone has different tastes, lol.

Perfect winter song, I'll say. Makes me feel cold and sad inside, yet it's so beautifully written that I have no choice but to smile.

Every album is just great. It doesn't matter what your favourite is, so long as we can all agree that LC!'s music is one of the most appreciable artworks ever created. This album, this song, go perfectly with winter. It seems like all of their works go well with the emotional tides of each season.

you,me, dancing! CAN be the song of a dedicated fan. It's not a bad song. and anyway, you can't determine who is and who isn't a dedicated fan based on which songs they like.... just sayin...

This and "The Sea Is" make me cry every time, never get sick of them. People say that this album is so different to their older stuff but every single band changes as they grow. LC! have had band members leave and many personal problems so of course things will be different now but Gareth's song writing is, as always, exceptional.

I've never listened to any of there songs before, but a friend of mine posted lyrics to this song on facebook, so I googled it and ended up here. And now I'm very worried about her. Is that weird?

if you listen to the lyrics of the early stuff it is pretty angsty as well, just dressed up in happy tunes :P

It almost feels like the 'the sea is a good place for thinking' of hello sadness both with their intense melodies and serene lyrics. Gotta love 'em.

@frodly Tastes are subjective, as anyone who's ever read youtube comments is aware. That being said, the passion of the singing just isn't there. Despite a few neat production tricks, the song writing feels too Coldplay or Keane. It lacks the wandering rhapsody of youth that made You! Me! Dancing! popular and inventive. I don't dislike the new album but they just aren't the "second most punk band in wales" they used to be, and that is just life. TL; DR: Maturity. It sucks, its inevitable.
