So what is your point in sending me this in a pm? I fully support our Constitution and Bill of Rights especially the 2nd Amendment. This is defiantly not an anti-gun song and Lorne Greene, of all people, was NOT against our right to keep and bear arms. Maybe you can now find a nice Roy Rogers song. Now run along...shoo

If people would just listen to the whole thing they would understand that Lorne Green wasnt against guns. Hell he explains everything very clearly at the end of the song!

Lorne Greene was not at all against guns but just the opposite! He understood who we are and how we got to where we are! He understands the balance of good & bad and the necessity of firearms in our history! He clearly explains that its the man that kills a man not the gun!

On the contrary. I don't believe Lorne Greene was at all against the right to bear arms. At least the song isn't, anyway. "It's not the gun that kills a man, It's the man that fires the gun that kills a man" makes that clear. I think the song is simply against people who don't understand how to properly use guns or have a nonchalant attitude toward them. That's all.

@anonymous915 He DOES admit that it's not the gun that kills. I see no 2nd amendment conflicts here.

According to Lorne, guns are only used for wicked purposes...heard of two cases just recently where victims had to use guns to protect themselves; one was a veteran who had a gun which was "illegal" - (how can it be illegal when we're guaranteed by the right to bear arms by the constitution?) The other was an elderly woman who had to stop a drug crazed criminal who beat down her door.
