I love this haunting song and the way she sings it - I also love the way Roberta Flack sings it.

Don't get me wrong, Roberta Flak did an amazing job with the song and made it popular, but honestly, I like Lori's version better.... and don't get me started on the crap and injustice that is the Fugees version.

Beautifully sung! I remember the early 70's when you couldn't walk past a jukebox or bar without hearing Roberta Flack's version. I like Lori's better...less "production" and more feeling.

She still looks great. I loved her version so much I'd change the radio station if Roberta Flack's version came on. Go figure why the gods of musical fate never gave her a huge hit with it. Wish I was in that kitchen

oh well, just you would like to hear one of the greatest compositions ever written by a female songwriter to another male songwriter... this is actually what lori lieberman felt when she heard don mclean's song "empty chairs"... lori grew old and grey but the magic of her voice is still there... and although it was roberta flack who got the hang of it in singing this song, it was actually lori who made the song...so please enjoy lori's "killing me softly with his song"... her folk love song for don mclean...btw, i grew up with these kinda songs...

Her version on the Mike Douglas show was warm and soulful, but this rendition literally gave me chills.
