I love this song, "Let Me Down Easy". I feel that the whole album Letting Go was quite good. The faux-danceble bridge in this song didn't do much for me, trying too hard to be hip and pop, strictly from commercial (to steal from Frank Zappa)- but the song as a whole moved me to tears and smiles, not bad for a song sung with true, deep emotion and a lot of talent. So many of us have wanted, felt a need to have been let down easy. It hurts when we aren't treated kindly, according to the Golden Rule.
