just found Ruthie Foster today 6-13-15, after hearing this song on Criminal Minds had to find out who sings it, as the songs haunting me to my soul + spirit, brings me to tears... touches me deeply; Aretha was my queen of soul, for 40yrs & as of today I added Ruthie, I now have 2 queens of soul. Funny, I just saw the rerun of Criminal Minds where they played this song at the beginning and the end. Didn't seem to fit in with the theme of the show, but I had to come here to listen to the song again. Very poignant video; highlights our struggles well.

oh my God, thank You ... for guiding me to this song and singer, after having looked for a long time! had heard it on one of the shows I watch most, .. and the sound's been haunting me since, .. but couldn't remember if it was : Criminal Minds, Law & Order, CSI, or what..-- Tonight 6/3 when Criminal Minds came on, I heard "that song"... Oh Lord... and raced to the VCR to tape it, so I could look up the lyrics later on search engine to find out Who does this "incredibly haunting sound", which I did, and now I finally know.... It's Ruthie Foster that sings "Lord remember me", God bless her, and obviously He has blessed her, with the gift of song and a sound that, again, is haunting me to the depth of my soul and spirit! this german girl has always loved this kind of gospel music.... mmmmhh ... like Oh Happy Day by Edwin Hawkin Singers, but now that I know of Ruthie Foster, and I listened here to another of her songs Travelling Shows, I just have to get music/cd's by her... she touches me to tears!! Can't believe I never heard of her name before.
