Loop, Spacemen 3 were nowhere near the Shoegazing scene. They had their own Vibe going on and were more akin to Psych Garage punk bands of the 60's than the the likes of My Bloody Valentine and JAMC. Not that they weren't good, but I found Loop to be way above

I love when people try to put something into a genre or classify in a category when they weren't even around to hear it in the first place. No kiddies before Youtube, Spotify, Pandora, people actually read zines went to record stores and shows. We did our homework and didn't hit a button and say we were instant fans to earn street cred. We worked at out knowledge and were part of a scene. You posers! LOOP wasn't shoegaze. Fuck the bands that were in the so called shoegaze scene hated that bastard term! It was made up by the likes of Melody Maker and NME! Why all the categories? Can't you just say it's great music and go with it? LOOP are gods!

shoegaze? these guys were around before that scene. they fit in more with early telescopes and spacemen 3. they were just a psych band, not shoegaze

This does sound like drone rock, but why aren't they classified as such, but instead by shoegaze?

Every other track on the album bores the shit out of me, Black Sun makes it worth owning. Never gets old.

Well they are, came out of the same musical spirit and influences. Nothing wrong there. Right for the time. this stuff has worn really well.

The Loop track I listen to the most. A classic of drone-rock, a genre that Loop personified and were the best example of.

incredibile mi sono ricordato di loro poco fa....ed eccoli qui sul tubo....una delle mie influenze sicure...il "loop" era un mio modo di fare suoni. ...Ma è una banda ancora attiva? su wikipedia non trovo un granchè...grandi...
