Still got my scratchy 45. This was too good to be a B side. Thanks for sharing!

This WAS a good song, but it got stuck on the B-side of "Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress" on 45.

They used to be, but sadly they were removed :( I've bought a DVD in Amazon called The Hollies In Performance that has this concert and the 1967 concert in Split

Welcome! I think the thing that makes it so good when he's done leads is that we don't hear him that much. Allan was a natural lead - strong voice, and serious stage presence. Tony not so much - he shone loads while playing solos. Still does, from what I see on here. And - here's the thing - his harmonies (along with either Graham or Terry) just filled out that vocal blend and gave it some serious body. Him on lead vocal would lose that.

I agree with you 100%, he's definitely not leading material, but I love every time he does!! Thanks everyone for commenting ♥ - Andrea

Because - good as he was as a singer - he wasn't lead singer material. He knew that and was very happy doing what he did. Let's face it - the Hollies ... even a job playing tambourine for that band would be ... nearly heaven, right? But, no - Tony's not a lead singer type of guy. But his harmonies... that little extra bit he gave to that vocal blend... could you imagine him not being there? Listen to when Allan and Graham or Allan and Terry harmonies without him. You'll hear why. :)
