I lived in England 1962, I was 17. I had my guitar and a full supply of Josh White, Burl Ives, The Weavers, Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, Kingston Trio and rock and roll. I hitched all over England and Scandinavia, playing, singing, flirting. I had a weekly spot at a pub called The Wheatchief, which was in Bovingdon, Herts. All American Boy! It was one of the best years of my life. I'm married, have 2 children. I still play, still sing, still love folk music. Lonnie's big hit was of Rock Island Line.

@signart. Right on. I wandered thru Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Afghanistan, a million places. Got off a train going to Oran to visit Sidi Bel Abbes, the HQ of the French Foreign Legion in Algeria. Came back to the States 3 years later(1972). People ask you Why? "Cause its there." When your feet get itchy, you gotta go. My anthem? A verse from Song to Woody "here's to the hearts and the hands of the men who come with the dust, and are gone with the wind." Here's to you, Brother Signart.
