I love so many Longwave songs but this one will always hold an exalted place for me. I saw Longwave perform at Luna Lounge before they had this record released and the band would always close their set with this song. Luna was a free music venue with a front room with the bar and the back room with the stage. I was usually the sound engineer at these shows. People who didn't know of the band would be in the bar and when Longwave would go into this song, many people would come from the bar into the performance room, especially when the band went into the last reprise section of the song. At those live shows, Longwave would open up the reprise and jam on it for several minutes. They kept it rising and rising and playing it harder and harder. People would be absolutely floored. I have worked with a few thousand bands and have seen thousands of concerts and performances but those Longwave shows at Luna Lounge are among my very favorite.The band would take it to some place way beyond even this worthy recording.Unfortunately, there are no recordings from that period and because of Longwave's evolution as a band, it's unlikely that we'll ever see them perform this brilliant song again.
