We saw LJB at the Club A'Gogo in Newcastle. In his pale cream suit, smoking his cheroot; he looked (and sounded) so cool we should have been issued with overcoats! . He sang the blues like no-one else in England at the time. What a pity his piano player eventually made it bigger than he did. This was one of the few recordings of that era which my mother liked. He's sadly missed!
