How damn cool is Martin Turner in this video? And the others took a look at him and said "we don't need this guy"? It still grates that they ruined a fantastic band, the bloody idiots.

Thanks very much for posting this!. Much as I like this song (especially the Live Dates II / Hot Ash version), the audio mix and camera angles here don't do justice to the bass lines. As a guitar nut I was initially drawn to Laurie's wondrous solos, but soon found the bass part to be brilliant and an inspiration. There could easily have been twice as many notes, but then it would be only half as good. Fantastic!

This must have been shortly before Martin left the band et al... Great album and cool vid capturing the moment... I have to agree that Laurie was awsome in the line up, but IMHO all of the guitarists WA has ever picked are awesome and underated. Ted Turner is a master in so many ways, Laurie is incredible and Andy still shreds or plays rhythm as he licks and can probably play any of the guitar parts as he see's fit. Many of the "filler" player over the years are good as is Martin's current...

(Excuse my horrible english) I love Wishbone Ash since I was a boy of 15 years. I think this German TV-show was Musikladen. I remember: a friend of mine (the drummer of our schoolband) an me argued if Andy Powell was loosing the beat in the beginning of the 2nd part. I´m still a fan of Powells guitar playing, but after all this years I believe Laurie Wisefield`s sololines were more musical and more rhythmical. The energy of mark two (Turner, Powell, Wisefield, Upton) is still unbeaten.

Thanks for posting! Looks like one of those "play because you love music" gigs....
