Jeanie and Dean will no doubt return and find each other again and qualify for perpetual life in our dimension of origin.

I first saw Dean Martin sing Little Green Apples on his show in late February of 1970 which of course I really liked. At the time I was in senior high and avoided going to high school dances so as not to dance to nightmare music like The Guess Who and their hit song American Woman. Other nightmare bands at the time was The Original Caste and their song One Tin Soldier. All that I avoided. Dean Martin provided proper family music and entertainment back at that time.

I first heard Dean Martin sing Little Green Apples in early spring of 1970. Hearing him sing Little Green Apples was such a relief from hearing those vile and useless political protest songs back at the time.

He was a beautiful performer. I am going through listening to all the versions of this song that I can find. Found it on Robbie Williams latest swing album (he duets with Kelly Clarkson)...it's a sweet version and they stay very true to the original (thankfully). But I love this version, too...I wonder was it always written for a solo performer and only got recorded as duet in later versions? Does anyone know? Because Sinatra sang it solo, too. Just curious.

@biden1 Midlife crisis? Hmm.. i know it was a mayor blow for him to loose his son. Maybe he was a changed man after that. Less warm...more distant. Still however... an amazing man, an amazing singer and amazing entertainer. Dino forever =)
