little feat at one time the best band around, i remember being in the intersection of lowell and george in chicago near logan square to have his picture taken, and yes lowell was in the mothers for about 10 minutes

"whites" = an amphetimine/caffiene caplet, popular with truck drivers in N America in the 1970s. Also sometimes called "bennie's", "beans". Not sure what was in them, but they'd keep truckers awake for the long-haul drives. I remember those days from working in the truck stops on the midnight shifts!
