Can we all just stop fighting for a moment and realize that they just revised the melody from Debussy's composition? That is a very common concept and is used often in many songs today. These guys are lyrical and musical geniuses and they gave the old melody new life and a brand new message (even though the original piece is still beautiful). Little Comets's work never ceases to baffle me with its beauty and originality and I feel like this is a very cleverly paid homage to the classic piece.10 years ago

i agree with you... i'm not against the little comets haha. i don't know much about composition but i am a classical musician and a music major. i just wanted to point out that they used the song, and that debussy is a genius.11 years ago

it's not been stolen, if you knew anything about composition you'd know that there's a very common compositional technique called 'theme and variation' whereby you take an existing melodic idea and change it to create something new. it's not exactly the same as Debussy's piece at all, and considering Debussy is dead i highly doubt he'll be persuing a legal battle with them any time soon. besides, I think Debussy would be pleased young people are hearing his music, whatever form it may be in.11 years ago
