Long ago in a galaxy far, far away...
We bring you LITTLE CELLO WARS! Why a parody of another parody? Because we LOVE The Piano Guys (and Star Wars)! Their music inspires us and we listen to it all the time (literally). The idea to make this fan video came about a year ago, and Caleb started goofing off with After Effects to see if it was something he could finish. The music obviously was original, made by the amazing Al van der Beek and Steven Sharp Nelson. The motivation to complete it came from the support and enthusiasm of many people, especially Steven Sharp Nelson and the other guys!
We announced LITTLE CELLO WARS on July 17, 2013 and started filming. Almost 70 days later, more than 5,000 frames, 4 days of filming in front of a green screen, and one month of editing and rendering - we felt like we had taken on the entire EMPIRE! Caleb had to edit every single frame in order to make the light sabers work (a total of over 5,000 frames)! He worked hard to make it look very similar to the original, even if that meant changing the background for 70 clips halfway through the editing!
The video was released exactly two years after The Piano Guys announced the original "Cello Wars". We hope you all enjoy!

This video sucked big time. Horrible faking, horrible darth vader, plucking, playing, and sitting. What was the gun made from a nerf gun? And can you guys get any real chairs? Not fake ones that you can tell are photoshopped and moving on the still backround. If you are going to try and copyright someone else's (longtime professional cellist/longtime music video maker) you might as well do it right. Making an amazing video and turning it into a piece of crap is a really bad idea. And how about using actual real cellos, they sell real ones for about 50 bucks. Hence the name ➡️CELLO⬅️wars, not fake violin/horrible cello position. Ans Vince Holden who ever you are, yes I beleive I can answer your question asking "can you imagine how long they practiced for this?" And yes I can answer that, by the way it's a he not they, they probably practiced anywhere from 5-20 minutes. And I have a reason. If you look, he's NOT actually playing. If he really wanted to fufill his copywrite dream, he would actually learn how to play, and then maybe get a real cello. How does that sound?8 years ago
