I met a shell of a mountain who knew she was finishedClaimed she grew up from a grain of sandWith every year wider she bloomed a little bit longerTo the roof of the sky with outstretched handsShe made friends with the sun, shared enemies with no oneCounted weeks like she should of counted daysAnd swallowed handfuls of night so she could sleep tightAnd turn her thoughts from its stone cold waysAnd this was the beginning, the start of the endingYou can't die from a broken heartBut from the time the sun roseTo the space where it fell awayShe would love, and it wouldn't take partAnd every every day she would echo echoIn every single way she should let go let goBut it had her in its sights cupids icy arrowsBut so, so whatSo she caught every one with her heart like it was her dutyIt walked the wrong wrong way down her one way planShe was surrounded by forests, rivers and beautyUntil that glacier froze over the landAnd so she blamed herself hated her wealthShe was born at too young of an ageAnd every night her dreams were touched by witches fingersUntil her heart was caged. With every morning spent not caring if she cares or notSleeping in the melt and mud, waiting for the earth to rotBurying herself alive she scrapes the hole that it left openEmpty as her very heart, that mountain was all brokenAll broken, that mountain was all brokenNow I can see that herHer blood's red and she's got feelingsAnd they always get spilled both without thinkingWithout thinking, without thinking,Without thinking, I can see that herHer blood's red and she's got feelingsAnd they always get spilled both without thinkingWithout thinking, they weren't thinking,Without thinking, I can see that herHer blood's red and she's got feelingsAnd they always get spilled both without thinkingWithout thinking, I wasn't thinking,Without thinking, I can see that ourOur blood's red and we got feelingsAnd we always spill both bloods without thinkingWithout thinking, what were we thinking,We weren't thinking, what were we thinking of

I'm slowly falling more and more in love with this band... The brass makes it stand out from Being As An Ocean and La Dispute and Touche Amore...

I really like this, but for some reason I can't get over the way how towards the middle of the song he begins to sound like a southern politician giving a very passionate speech.

I can't imagine how difficult it would be to match the professional recording with the video. I'm sure it's hard for musicians, but spoken word is a little more loose on rhythm. Anyway, I'm a new fan and I love your work. You rock guys!
