The main problem regarding Lisa's voice compared to Mariah (those who commented) is that Lisa smoked, several packs a day. It deteriorated her voice a lot, she sings much more nasal now at days and sometimes the long notes are shorter. I always loved her swing and her style, unlike those other "pop stars" Lisa was in another field, she was unique and experimented with different genres.She quit smoking (dunno if she fell again) but I think she has been free of tobacco for years?.

In my opinion, her voice never fade unlike Whitney and Mariah and also Lisa is way classier than both Whitney & Mariah .. btw, my name is also Mariah .. how ironic :-)

Back in 90's she sounded so easy to sing she became too underrated. Here she proves she is a first class singer to last over decades. Pity she's lost much of her upper register, though.
