It took me a while to realize the reason for Rita looking so terrified - it's the fact that at any moment she expected those huge hairy caterpillars to jump of Den's face onto her. Doesn't Janet look lovely?

Unfortunately Den in OUR opinion let himself and his band down by being amazingly arrogant & rude. If he didnt want to be spoken to then he could have poltely said so, we were grown mature sensible adults, not crazed teenyboppers. As an entertainer surely it's part of the job meeting the fans ? At the same bar & elsewhere we've met many REAL rocknroll legends (unlike Den), most much older & probably more stage weary than he was, and they have ALL been uttelry welcoming, charming & pleasant. Sorry for delay replying. Personally I think it's completely "fair"... For years he's played the big "star" of the group, natural centre of attention etc etc. We were at the bar having a drink after their set which had been very well received. It wasn't straight after the set, and it was their choice to stand by us at the public bar, as do most of the many artists we've seen there over many years. We'd paid good money buying the records and to enjoy the show, which we had enjoyed & said so.

@doowopsylv 'Bubbles' was famous for blowing the most Humungus! bubble-gum balloons at every gig...

@RockinRedRover A bit unfair, that. After a gig isn't the best time to catch anyone for a chat - maybe next time pop by before the gig? I like Den a lot personally.

@iveco321 Yes, sort of... he clearly considers himself to be the big "cult" "star" of the group and is in fact just a rude bigheaded ###. Or at least he was when we met him and tried to speak pleasantly to him about the "good old days" after a Metrotones gig in London last year.

yes that was a good session for LWT it all seems such a long time ago but it is amazing how many people I meet that used to follow the Razors I still keep in touch with a few members of the band but have all gone their seperate ways now. I am pleased you enjoyed the music and the Replays and Darts I feel that the Razors were a much better live band, I now buy and sell vintage drums as a hobby.

That's Big Den Hegarty singing with Rita, Griff and Horace (sax) from DARTS! Bob joined in '76 when they left Rocky to Form Darts... with Thump (bass guitar), George (Lead guitar), Professor Hammy Howell (keys) and John Dummer on drums. See Darts live at The 100 Club, Oxford Street, London, this July - Sat 12th. All sold out last time - so don't delay!
