I first saw Little Jimmy Scott (as he was called then) in the year of 1950. My mother took me to the Million Dollar Theater on 3rd & Broadway in L. A. to see Lionel Hampton. Jimmy was part of the review vocals,dancers, etc. He sang this song. I saw him again in L. A at the IT Club 1962. The last time I actually met and talked to him was 1991 at the Jazz Bakery In Culver City I took my sons and wife to see him.
