When I went to see Lindisfarne - at Edinburgh Playhouse - I was sure they'd 'open' with CWL but they didn't. I was intrigued by the wee square things along the bottom of the stage - I was in the fifth row from the front, and could see everything. This quickly changed when their final encore was Clear White Light as the wee boxes housed photofloods that were blinding people in 'the gods'. I was looking straight at them when they came on - about a fortnight later, I had vision!Saw them at Glasgow Green a few years' later - along with Runrig et al. Ace day, both times.

I have always been a fan but saw them very late on and well after Alan had gone. He was a genius and they were a great band

Si Cowe is a head brewer in canada, ray laidlaw is still gigging at the moment doing the lidisfarne story up and down the uk with billy mitchell a great show if you get the chance to see it plenty of the songs with a bit of banter off how the band got together
