Others may have already noted this but Dolly, Emmylou and Linda sang together (like angels!) on an album called Trio which included "I never will marry". It's a little hard to find now but worth the time and cost, every song is amazing if you're into old Americana/folk/country.

At family reunions, we sing this song. One of my sisters and I sing the lead and then my mother and another sister will come in on harmony. One of my brothers will play the guitar. We sound pretty good on this song. We also sing a lot of John Denver songs and some gospel songs. I've loved this song every since I was a teenager. Three part harmony with Linda, Dolly, and Emmylou. Nothing better.

Ah, Linda and Dolly together. Doesn't get much better than that. Although I'd sure like to also have heard Linda sing with Alison Krauss. That would be a good combo.And has there ever been a prettier mouth than Linda's in her early days? And those doe eyes were delightful.

Linda sang this as a beyond young girl with Johnny cash. Later with Dolly. This is an amazing song and sound. Linda sang traditional folk songs. This was one of them. She never, I guess, imagined that her life would follow suit ie she would never marry. She, I think, sported at least one guy's engagement ring. She was like all of us; she would have married all things being equal and have been happy if at least one sprog had come along.She kept on singing and we are all grateful.

This wonderful song is from Linda's "Simple Dreams" album from 1977. Probably her best album ever, although that is debatable among her fans, of which I am one.

hard to say because dolly and emmylou are very close in range and timbre, but i hear this one as linda (obviously) with emmy on harmonies. not registering dolly.?
