Makes ‘Born this Way’ impossibly ironic.Yes she released the album Fame but she wasn't the super popular/eccentric Lady Gaga we know of today. Lina died on October 4 and Gaga embarked on her first tour as Lady Gaga October 9 and one month later her career took off to levels of immense stardom.Even Lina's mom, Yana, claims that "Lina had that style. Gaga had a different style. She changed dramatically overnight." Lina's former boyfriend said the first time he saw the transformation, he was shocked—he told the paper, "It was the same style, the same look, the same music, the same voice, the same jaw line—the way they expressed themselves. It was so, so shocking. It was like looking at a ghost."

She may have died in October while Just Dance came earlier in the year... Maybe that is why she killed herself... Maybe she thought for some insane reason that she couldn't compete with Gaga.. To be honest... Lina's song "Far Away" was being promoted before Just Dance! Mental health is nothing to joke about... Lina just couldn't see light at the end of the tunnel and it is very sad... I think she could have had a career just as big as Gaga's... Just my two cents!!

please,get over yourself. even if the "sacrifices" are a real thing,gaga is now at the top and why the fuck would she "kill" clarence? and clarence was her huge friend and she loved him so much and gaga was only writing songs with rob fusari for lina morgana,just like she wrote songs for britney,pcd and many others so they weren't really friends and just dance was already out so gaga made it before lina killed herself.

Sometimes there are exceptions, I believe Adele is a rare true talent who's voice has broken the barriers of looks, theatrics and having to sell her soul. Excellent question though. Are there strange deaths surrounding any other artists like Katy Perry, Eminem, Jay Z, Kanye, Rihanna, Chris Brown, or any past pop stars from the 70s on? That's something to research! GaGa is different than say Britney Spears though because of the age difference in when they started and how.
