The band is Pascal Humbert and Jean-Yves Tola (16 Hp minus DEE). This song is written by Jim Kalin (music) & Tom Barman (lyrics). Kalin plays slide guitar on it and Barman sings it. Two lines stuck with me from first listening: "I followed her to Harlan / where the coal dust showed her trail..." & "Her heart ain't stuck on Dixie / where the roads are paved in bone..." @lkoklok Lilium, not the elfen lied relation, but album is short stories, so many many great songs, my most favorite band, originated from previous band Morphine, unfortunately lead vocalist, Mark Sandman, passed away. Another great band, slightly different, still awesome. 16 Horsepower is another band. love to hear what you think!
