Anyone know the little Smashing Pumpkins tribute at the end? It's doing my head in...

the songs recorded for the CD's are a lot cleaner and in my opinion don't sound as good. You do hear background sounds sometimes. Just not often. They can isolate each individual mic as you would all know.

There is something incredible about one dude strumming a guitar singing. This sends shivers down my spine, what a version!

all of the songs are professionally recorded for the mixed cd they release every year, so its likely there is pre-recording which is why you never hear any background noise

Hahaha, you'd think I'd have even FOUND this video if I listened to that kind of garbage? Sorry for being curious; being an amateur sound-technician I was simply wondering how sound clarity of the standard was possible in a live recording. It's a pretty common trick to just film someone performing and dub a better-quality recording over it. So again, apologies for my curiosity. -.-

I think its just that triple J can afford the best of the best when it comes to instruments and sound recording equipment

One possibly stupid question from a new-guy here: But are these videos possibly pre-recorded? The way he's playing the guitar just seems... too clean and soft for the power he's putting in his strums. Maybe it's just how it's mixed?
