To say that I was excited about filming this session is a massive understatement. I've been a massive fan of Liam Frost ever since I read a review of his single, 'The Mourners of St Paul's', on Teletext and headed out to HMV to buy it on vinyl many years ago. His album 'Show Me How The Spectres Dance' followed shortly after and I fell in love with it. Liam disappeared for a few years to record his follow up, 'We Ain't Got No Money, Honey, But We Got Rain', which I vividly remember preordering. Since then things have gone quiet on the Liam Frost front, which has been a massive shame especially seeing the rise of the singer song writer in the last few years that Liam should've been part of.

Fast forward to 2012 and I start the Addistock Sessions, in my mind there are several people that I wanted to be part of it, Ben Marwood, Neil Morris, B-Sydes, Frank Turner and many more. These were people I call friends and were pretty confident I could get hold off, there was also a list of people I admired and had respected for many years. Top of that list was Liam Frost, earlier this year I decided to get in touch with Liam and see if he was at all interested, to my surprise he had heard of Addistock and was more than happy to be part of it. We arranged a date, I met Liam in Manchester and we got talking about everything from Deftones, to his new band Tokolosh, the wonders of Liverpool, the fantastic post hardcore scene the early 2000's. Eventually we set up in the Anthony Burgess Foundation, the venue of Liam's upcoming solo shows, and filmed a few songs I had cheekily requested on the day.

I can only hope you guys will enjoy these sessions as much as I did when I filmed them, and if you aren't familiar with Liam Frost check him out! Both his albums are fantastic you cannot lose!
