the dirty colonial, hungry for blood, war mongering ,scurge of this planet British Empirical Forces plundered one third of this Earth's wealth.Mainly poor and undeveloped, peace loving, unarmed and defenseless nations who did not have armies.Ireland was one such nation. The Crown Forces plundered ALL of Ireland's crops for 5 years.Always remember, when studying history, history is written by the victorious!!!,,,,,THE BRITISH STARVED MILLIONS OF IRISH PEOPLE TO THEIR DEATHS!!!,,,,,Have a look at ,,,,,The Irish Holocaust,on Red Ice Radio,,,,,,,

If the Irish hate the english so much, why have millions of them deserted Ireland over the years to come and live here in England, scrounging our jobs, houses and welfare like immigrants do?..;)Same with the taff and jock immigrants, they also deserted their homelands to come sponge off us!

1- There are currently half a million Irish living here in England who were born in Ireland, so hey Linda and Hoser, I've got a spare room you can have  if you love us as much as they do and want to come over. There's a pub called 'Kitty O'Hanlons' just round the corner so you'll feel quite at home..:)2- Hoser said to me-  "will continue to pray that our Great Spirit might open your eyes" Thanks, but who the hell is the 'Great Spirit', I hope you're not a bloody Apache squaw!3- Linda said to me- "what a Catholic is praying for is help and perhaps an intercession" Why not just dial Jesus direct and speak to him instead of his mam and his mates?4- Incidentally are those Irish who hate the English stuck in a time warp or what? I thought the English top hats buggered off out of Ireland many years ago? The Romans, Vikings and Normans all conquered England in the past, but that's all history and we don't bear a grudge because we've let it go and moved on..:)5- England conquered Scotland but they don't bear a grudge either, they voted to stick with England in the referendum last year, they obviously know England is a good mate to have..:)

tungsten kid mind your words as they are powerful.. Miss Linda Holland~Toll sure gave your ignorant english warped sense of every land we set foot in should be ruled by our non political Queens Ass  a good and proper history lesson! apart from a few nice buildings in Dublin and Cork, England has done nothing over the last 800 + years but divide and destroy the fabric of the Irish people. but through all of that time brave Men and Women of this Country stood up to one of thee most powerful empires the world has ever known and sent the black and tans, b specials, udr  a.k.a(murder squad) and other so called defenders of the empire back with there tails between their legs. so maybe the next time you are admiring some of our outstanding Artist's such as the late Great Liam Clancy, you might stop and think to pay a little bit of Respect to the Great people of this Nation and that also apply's to your people as you do them a huge amount of disrespect by writing or  posting in this manner." we are Irish and proudly so with every motion of our being we wish to conduct our own affairs and preserve our traditions of the land that binds together as one people, the people of Eire!"Fred D. Molloy Jnr.

The Protestant north joined England in 1801 and have been economically better off ever since, but the South decided to go it alone. Why?And why is the South Catholic? I'd have thought the proud Irish would have refused to be spiritually ruled by a bloke in Rome..;)

Ireland was a civilized country when the English were still crawling on all fours and painting their faces blue. Look at the book of Kells, for example. Henry II of England invaded Ireland, with the Pope's permission in 1083, in the unbridled Plantagenet lust for other people's lands; since that time the accursed Brits have stuck their long noses into Ireland's affairs. If they have not committed actual genocide (and I am not sure they have not at least tried), then they have committed cultural genocide by prohibiting Irish dress, Irish music, Gaelic and the Roman Catholic faith. As for actual genocide, what did good old England think would happen when the land was taken away, the people's livelihoods were taken away, the lovely and nice English got most of the land and then proceeded to send all Ireland's goods to England? It may not have been genocide precisely, but a rose by any other name stinks quite as badly. Starve people to death by depriving them of foodstuffs (butter, cheese, grain, cattle) to stuff wealthy overfed English with and they cannot escape dirty hands. Jonathan Swift's "A Modest Proposal" (probably satire) makes this rather clear. As for the potato blight, it was a disease of the potato, upon which the Irish depended. With little land, potatoes as a crop made sense. Perhaps, Sir, you could check on what the British did to ameliorate the suffering? Look hard and long. There was, as my research indicates, general hope that all or most of the Irish would emigrate or starve. My own ancestors did. Emigrate, that is.And your last point? What makes you so sure that a tribal/clan society with an ard righ (that's High King to you) is so inferior that "Mother England" must come in and impose her monarchy on a free country? If, as I assume you are English/English descent, how would you have liked it if Hitler had conquered England during World War II and overset your culture? And frankly, given a choice that excluded Ireland as a free country, I'd rather France than the British Empire.
