I think the rhetorical question "Do I belong to some ancient race...." Is one of the main points about why the IRA has needed to excist, i.e the fact that they don't want alien British rule in six of the counties in one of the of the oldest continuous civilisations in Western Europe, and essentially a Gaelic nation largely unimpeded by waves of invaders. They make me proud to be from the same country - and countryside - as them, in an age where everyone is brainwashed into saying 'UK' instead of 'England', 'Wales', 'Scotland' and 'Northern Ireland'.
