Voor mij is het Steve Harris, Victor Wooten, Larry Graham en Les Claypool :) Maar Mark King heb ik recent ontdekt, en wat ik tot nu toe al gehoord en gezien heb, een top van een muzikant :D

Last Wednesday they played this iconic Jazz Funk number in Paradiso. They brought the house down! After a breathtaking 'second half' of the show (after the acoustic break) they played Hot Water, Starlight, Heathrow, Love Games... Hot water was played in the vain of the Shep Pettibone remix (inclusing one of the most legendary funk breaks ever.) . The intro to Love Games was something else: Mark played the Bass beyond funk. Level 42:32 years on the road and still getting better all the time

Level 42 in full flow are breathtaking, their melodic harmonies are legendary. To those who have seen them live recently, so glad you had an amazing time! Love reading comments about their live shows. One of the greatest 'studio' and 'live' bands of their generation.

I still remember my buddy named John, made a slap/pop motion with his hand, followed by thumbs up........to Mike Lindup!!! Mike said, oh ehm (discrete pointing with index finger) he (Mark) is our bass player. Mr Lindup was probably thinking:" are these guys fans, our do they work here at the catering dept, haha! Those were the days, Hanenhof 1982 Geleen, The Netherlands.....
