a friend of mine from Chicago who worshipped Leslie told me he had polio at one time and practiced in a wheelchair wearing surgical gloves to strengthen his fingers, I was never sure if this was true or not, anybody out there know for sure

@ruamonkeybum Rua he is FAR more talented at life then you'll ever be. Go back to your Van Morison and Pee Wee Herman's "How to be a Rockstar" videos.

Are you serious?!?...He comes across to me as extremely humble. He's got experience and a lot of stories to tell but, arrogant??? I don't think so.

Considering ALL the challenges Leslie West had to overcome... (major drugs, extreme obesity, and cancer) ... its AMAZING hes not extremely bitter. Leslie is a HERO. An Icon. A Rock God. And an TRUE EXAMPLE for troubled youth of today. He SURVIVED. Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix & dozens of other musicians lost the drug war, but Leslie persevered! LONG LIVE LESLIE WEST!

Leslie made it public here. He had bladder cancer. Luckily they found it early. Haha I dont think Rose Hill Drive would mind much. They got their chance to play with a true legend and Rose Hill sounded BETTER than they ever did. Its actually one of my favorite versions of Mississippi Queen.
