She was always my favorite female vocalist during the sixties. Such a lovely and gracious lady that always recorded songs of substance never a bad one in her albums. R.I.P. to the lovely Ms. Gore.

Although I was born in 1968, five years after Lesley Gore went to #1 with "It's My Party", I loved her music and on February 16, 2015, I, and all of the Lesley Gore fans, had a part of them die inside when she left passed away. I'm not going to judge about her personal life, but I am going to judge on her music, and as a singer/songwriter, she was one of the best, and it's a dirty shame that she isn't in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. LESLEY GORE (Lesley Sue Goldstein) MAY 2, 1946-FEBRUARY 16, 2015-You may be gone but your music, songs, and voice will live on forever. Thank you for the music and the memories.

Unfortunately, one of the most underrated artists from the 60's. It's a shame she is now only remembered for her cutesie hits such as It's My Party, Judy's Turn to Cry, and (not cute, I know, though at the time it was) You Don't Own Me. She had so many phenomenal songs--she's a true artist!

This was never released as a single, although both this track and "Movin' Away" had single hit potential. This appeared on the B-side of Lesley's fourth album, "Girl Talk".

I know this isn't as popular as most of her songs, but I think this one highlights her extraordinary voice very well. I grew up with her music on 45 that my sister had bought. I never heard this until after I bought the 5 disc box set from Germany. There were several pleasant surprises waiting for me, but this was the best of all.
