"Les Anges dans nos campagnes" performed by The Stairwell Carollers, joined by the Stairwell Caroller alumni on Dec 15, 2007 at their "30 Years of Song" concert.

The Stairwell Carollers are an a cappella Ottawa choir, formed in 1977 by director Pierre Massie. A non-profit organization, they raise funds for local charities through concert, CD and cookbook sales.

This version of "Les Anges dans nos campagnes" is on our first Xmas CD, "Qui Creavit Celum".

All our CDs are available on our website in both CD form and as MP3 downloads.

Sorry I didn't answer you sooner. I LOVE taking photos of our choir (check out our blog) and if any did not want their photo or video recorded, they probably wouldn't stay with us :P Thanks for the compliment and it was a good idea to clear this up :)

Sorry, should've phrased it better - that's actually what I meant. I'm a Baritone myself, and while my choir didn't allow video or audio recordings at our last concert, we got CDs made from a professional recording. Thanks for uploading this by the way!

No, but I can understand your confusion. The talking was from the home video tape recording which as you know is not high quality sound. As you see from the credits on the video, Tom Barnes recorded the concert separately and we used the better quality recording for the music. I assure you that it was the same song from the same night -- I am in the front row at the left, singing Alto, beside my husband the director, who sings Tenor. :)

Why does the sound suddenly change once they start singing? Is a previous recording being superimposed overtop the live performance?
