i get the song is awesome and Cohen is a legend but he can't sing..i mean he sings an abstract version of it and i guess he has a little style for that..but overall his vocals are not good..but probably one of the best composed songs in history

The best way to hear this is to turn up the volume, put a set of headphones on and push them against your ears. Leonard has some hidden vibrato! Very strong sounding version.

tout le monde s'y essaye, mais rien ne vaut l'original. vous avez fait un chef-d'oeuvre Mr Cohen et aucun chanteur ne vous égalera. Merci.

I have three favorite songs, all meaningful in different ways. Leonard's Hallelujah is one of the three. The other two are Barbra's The Way We Were & Freddie Mercury's (Queen) Bohemiam Rhapsody.

At the beginning he clearly says, "This is a song about 'The Broken Hallelujah'."

Come now, be truthful! The word "Halleluliah" literally means "Praise God".

Thank you Leonard. What do you mean we should stop singing it? Like it or not, you've written a song that EVERYBODY with a voice is going to sing from now until eternity. You will live forever.

Not many songwriters are good enough poets to get away with those rhyms for "Hallelujah"!
