so you don't like the song but you come to this link to say how much ...you don't like it...classy. personally i find it fucking amazing! that's why I came here. It sounds like the song that inspired Gordon Gano of the Violent Femmes (the vocals are very reminiscent) and it is far ahead of its time. It's funny too, if you give it a chance, and the lyrics, the delivery and even the back up vocals are outstanding. there, i said it.

It is, rather obviously by intention, sung as if by a drunken man, offkey and slurring, with a tune nothing like anything else of his, notably lighter in mood. I do not think this song's appeal is aesthetic and I do not think its content inspires happiness either. It's a statement, and hating it is natural.

I think the great thing about any art - certainly any good art - is that so many people can interpret it in so many different ways. The real master pieces can mean so many different things to so many different people. Its the "scholars" that caught up in the creators meanings that trouble me. - I always wonder if maybe they're missing the real beauty of things.( I have considered that maybe someone had just poked something up the Mona Lisas Ar**se. ;))
