Perfection ! Thanks for posting this terrific music video. It is haunting (as stated below ) and has a 1920's jazz blues tone. You get a feeling of the 1920's and Leo Reisman's Orchestra in this sound video. Like going back in time. Thanks again!

*Leo Reisman & His Orchestra, **What Is This Thing Called Love?**, 1930*The trumpet on this tune is none other than Bubber Miley, formerly of Duke Ellington's band. Miley played with Ellington from 1923 to 1929 and his famous growling trumpet sound helped propel the Ellington band to superstardom. Unfortunately Miley was let go from the Ellington band in 1929 due to the problems his alcoholism were causing. After leaving Ellington, Miley went to Europe and played a short stint with Noble Sisson's orchestra. When he came back to New York he sat in frequently with several big name bands including Reisman's. Reisman had an all-white band, so Miley was either dressed in a usher's uniform and kept off the bandstand, or he was hidden behind a screen. Miley's alcoholism finally helped kill him, and he died of Tuberculosis in 1932 at age 29 on Welfare Island.

Thanks so much for putting this on YouTube. The photo you show of Leo Reisman and his Orchestra has to be a mistake; there is nobody who looks like Leo in this picture--certainly not the piano player. I can't put a link in my comment, and if you want to see what Leo Reisman looked like, go to Google. He was a very good looking guy.
