I seem to recall LK telling the story that Sydney is where he stopped up overflow drain of the tub in the hotel bathroom so the water could get deeper and left the tube filling and flooded the downstairs guests. He wrote Snorkle from that incident. Did he have a sheepish grin at the concert ? Oh, forget that ... he ALWAYS has sheepish grin :)

supposedly LK is hard on guitars, as a traveler - not necessarily a guitarist. There is a video on youtube of his basement full of broken gear. One of the reason the plays Taylor is a) they helped him get a setup that helped overcome his hand problems back in the day, and b) When he breaks one he can just go out and get if fixed or find another one at a shop. And he likes the jingly sound of Taylor.

I think he bought a couple of guitars off a guy at Narrabeen named Milton? Just turned up at his door one night and bought two..

Yea, this is so nice. The recorded version has an accompaniment of some kind (over-dub?) I think...but it sure is nice too. Thanks for posting.

I saw Kottke at the Peace Center in Greenville, SC in the late 80s and was very impressed with his creative tunings and unique playing style back then. But this version of Corrina, Corrina is even more impressive. Unreal. I'm almost speechless.

Thank you so very much for posting this! I was at the Maui show, it was almost overwhelming. So beautiful! I first saw him in 1971 in Baltimore. I kept looking around for the rest of the musicians, there was so much sound in the room. Thank you Leo for the great gift in your music!

I was at this show. It was in awe of Leo. A guy in the front row was nice enough to mail me a video he made of the entire show. I've watched it at least a hundred times. I believe this is a clip from the same video!
