Watching Lenny drum is like watching sausage being made,the end product is tasty ,but watching it leaves a bit to be desired.Reminds me of Keith Moon,horrible and awkward technique to observe ,but if when you close your eyes and listen,a thing of beauty.

I've been a Lenny White fan since I saw him on something like "Don Kirshners" doing Vulcan Worlds with RTF. Had to have been around 1975. He's ambidextrous and nobody playing a single bass drum can do what he does. Can anyone explain to me why he is not at the top of the list? He does everything well, very precise, and really the funkiest fusion drummer out there. Also plays straght ahead jazz great. Listen to Ron Carters' Stardust. - Scott
