Lene Lovich nascida em Detroit-EUA, mudou-se para a Inglaterra no final dos anos 60 e início de 70. Começou a fazer parte da música New Wave, lançando seu primeiro trabalho em 1976, mas o sucesso veio no single Lucky Number de 1978. Junto com o guitarrista / compositor Les Chappell, com quem casou-se, amarrou os cabelos nas tranças, que veio se tornou uma marca visual, embora a idéia era manter o cabelo longe do barro nas aulas de arte/escultura.
Atualmente começou a se apresentar com uma nova banda Chamada Subterraneans.

Such a pretty lady. I saw her several times in Bourne and Hollingsworth in Oxford Street in the 60's. They had an amazing haberdashery department and glove counter. I was dancing in Soho, and she, I believe was at Art school, Probably working on her amazing look. She DID have the plaits the few times I saw her. She also had beautiful skin.10 years ago
