"Tiendoornig stekelbaarsje" is a single taken from Lend me your underbelly's debut album "Giant tadpoles among us", released oktober 2013. The track sets of in an experimental/avant-garde setting, from which it slowly drifts into a more atmosperic feel.
Lend me your underbelly is the solo project of Christian Berends from the Netherlands. The music is written through improvisation and experiment and is often characterised by a sentiment of melancholy and urgency. The music consists of elements that are linked to neo psychedelia, post-rock, ambient, with a bit of noise, which often takes place in an atmospheric setting. With the use of guitar, vocals, fieldrecordings and midi triggered samples and instruments, Lend me your underbelly attempts to unroot daily reality, steer it into a closer perspective. A vehicle of which the listener can borrow, use, or abuse the music for its own private thoughts. Loud expressive, or approaching silence.
Tiendoornig stekelbaarsje was released on 13 September 2013 on a 7 inch single, together with "Stormvloedkering", which results from a colaboration with Bosbeetle.
