This one's OK, but Lefty did an earlier (May of 1962) original version that's absolutely gorgeous - it should have been a monster hit for him, but of course died ignomiously as great stuff often does at first. It's only available on the "Saginaw, Michigan" LP and the comprehensive Bear Family Frizzell "Life's Like Poetry" box set. Somebody also posted it via phonograph record on YouTube; but maybe a Frizzell fan has a digital version they can share - it's one of his best.13 years ago
