I remember this song back then when I was a kid. Both Eric Tagg and Phil Perry rocked it out Good song. If Lee Ritenour had Robin Thicke singing on this song I would hate it with a passion, don't like Robin Thicke at all.

Eric sound like Kenny Loggins...but with a bit more soul.

This song is tailored fit for Eric, he has a great voice and I love his delivery on it and the Lee Ritenour with Phil Perry is outta this world but Phil is capable of taking another person's song and making it his...I love both versions equally and don't care which one you play because I still get the same effect mentally

Best version. Eric just sings the song. Phil Perry tries to put way too much soul into it. He is very pitchy!

Don't understand why we have to compare the songs to the degree of rewarding superlatives ( good, better, best. ..etc) I can easily enjoy both renditions. Each person came with their own interpretation and rocked it.

By far my favorite version. I had a thought though. Erik Tagg and Kenny Loggins sound very similar. I bet Loggins could have done this song justice too. Just Saying.

the Phil Perry vs Eric Tagg comparisons are ridiculous......Eric is phenomenal but Phil Perry is in another class......

I had the honor and pleasure of seeing Lee in Nagoya Japan in 1983 and the band had Eric, Phil, Harvey, Nathan, Ernie Watts,Don Grusin, Barnaby Finch and one more i can't remember. Eric and Phil were both featured in various songs and it was fantastic! I was with a group of 5 musicians from LA that was doing a show there in Nagoya at the time, and I think we spent over an hour with the band afterwards in the Green Room. It was the most memorable concert I have ever experienced. Thanks guys!

I was shocked at first, but after reading about his career he was always a religious person. He was a great talent- Eric and Lee Ritenour went together well like Steely Dan and Gary Katz. Sadly none of his first few albums were released in the states. All of them were released in Japan- that needs to change.
