I do not mean to diminish anyone, What I would like to point out is that the right shoulder patch is the combat patch. Watch this video again and count how many of our brothers and sisters are on at least the second deployment.

Thank you soooo much for your service and giving up your family life for me and every one else in the US. My father was in the Navy, but didn't have to fight. Just patrol in the late 50's early 60's. I was just a baby. I did live on base in Norfolk and Key West.

My heart goes out to all those soldiers male and female, who fought for the freedom of others. War is extremely costly, too many families were asked to pay the price. I hope there will be a day when the jet planes are only for vacations across the world and not taking soldiers to war, especially when there are no guarantees that the soldiers will ever come back. Happy home coming for those returning home this year.
