This is the absolute best version of this song I have ever heard. *Except for one*.When I was a kid, my sister would sing the version by Peter, Paul, and Mary as we did our chores. Their's wasn't better, but my memory of hers is.Every time I hear any version of the song though, I can smell the Pine Sol, remember the feel of the paper towels in my hand as I cleaned the big mirror, and even Mom telling to me to be careful with her knick-knacks as I dusted them. My favorite thing to dust was the snapping turtle shell we had on Dad's 'treasure shelf.' We'd caught it fishing one time on the banks of the Arkansas River in Kay County, Oklahoma. They were just beginning to flood the valley and make Kaw Lake. He made soup from the turtle meat, then glued the shell back together and it stayed in the treasure collection my entire childhood. And THAT brings to mind my brother Bill painting the Budweiser logo on a box turtle once. Years later, we found a larger one that had white and red paint remnants on its back.Fun memories.
