Just a few years into her creative career already blessed with highlights, Leanne is an artist who manages to mix vulnerability with a fiery backhand. This is the feeling that runs through her debut album, Pull Up Your Britches.

Her signature Front-Porch Blues and Horror-Country sound bleeds through the record which was produced by Mark Myers at Big Sister studios in Cairns. The album consists of a fine line up of musicians including, Bill Chambers - The Hillbillykillers, Jordan Ireland - The Middle East/Stolen Violin, Jack Venables - Osaka Punch and Simon McMenamin - The McMenamins. She has already had success with two tracks called Bearing The Crownand Black Snake Calls which are currently being played on ABC

Radio across Australia.

Written as individual pieces and recorded with two separate line ups, the album has a distinct feel of genre bending. She has just released her debut music video for Bearing the Crown, her lead single from the album and is set for big things.

Leanne has been writing songs and in love with music for as long as she can remember. She has many festivals under her belt including Bigsound, Cairns Festival and Tamworth Country Music Festival, has supported and worked with artists such as Kasey Chambers, Sticky Fingers, Dallas Frasca, Hats n Cara, Colin Hay and Jimi Hocking

Leanne is very excited to release her debut album, Pull Up Your Britches. It’s a collection of songs which represent an artist who has grown into her own and is not afraid to take risks. This album has a clear indication of a woman creating a whole new genre.

Described by Jesse Kuch at the Cairns Post as one of the best albums to emerge from Cairns, it’s no wonder why people are taking notice.
